Maren, a native of northern Germany, first came to the Northwest in 1997. She had read about the great paragliding opportunities here, and with a conveniently timed job opportunity she jumped at the chance to come to Portland for a year and fly our local sites. Nine months into her stay, both Brad and Maren found themselves at the Oceanside fly-in on the Oregon Coast. They had finally met, and would start dating just a few weeks later. With their mutual passion for paragliding, and a growing passion for each other, they married in October of 1999 at the site of their first meeting, and have been nearly inseparable ever since.

It has taken Brad and Maren years of commitment and training to attain the ratings and skills they now possess, but they still consider themselves perpetual students in the art of Paragliding. They often travel throughout the U.S. and Europe to receive continuing education from national as well as international leaders in the sport. In the constantly evolving sport of paragliding, it's the only way to continue to bring the latest, safest, and best training methods home to their students. |
